CHAKRA - energy centers
"Chakra" comes from the Sanskrit word for wheel, and is more commonly translated to mean a point of physical or spiritual energy in the human body. There are 7 main energy centers or chakras as described below.
root chakra - Mūlādhāra
Located at the base of the spine, the root chakra represents the life force (Chi or Prana) of the physical body itself. It directs the chi or life energy to all other chakras. When it is fully open and balanced, it will help you become a whole and healthy human being. You will be able to tap into this renewed energy to feel more confident, stable and physically alive.
sacral chakra - Svadhishthāna
Located in the abdominal region, the sacral chakra is the 'seat of all our emotions'. It is connected to the etheric body (the subtle state of consciousness that transcends the known physical universe).
The sacral chakra impacts all bodily fluids, taste, blood, circulation, reproductive functions, large intestine, kidneys and lower back. When well balanced, it can help an individual love self and others.
navel chakra - Manipūra
Located just behind the navel region below the rib cage, it is responsible for 'pearls of wisdom' weep-being, clarity and common sense in every individual. It is known as the 'self power chakra', ones self-confidence, self-discipline and the ability to achieve goals.
It is a very powerful chakra that can help you achieve your goals and desires.
heart chakra - Anāhata
Located at the center of the breastbone, Anahata means unstuck, hurt and unbeaten; thus the fourth chakra is associated with calm, serenity and 'sounds without violence.
It governs our relationships and interactions with those around us. It determines our values, beliefs and ethics as well as how well we accept ourselves, and those around us.
throat chakra - Vishuddhi
Located int he throat region, this chakra helps you to accept your originality, expressing your authentic voice and speaking your truth. It is the voice of the body.
Balancing this chakra can help you reconnect with tier true nature and make you fell safe enough to express it. A strong and balanced fifth chakra can also help you get In touch with your desires and feelings that have been suppressed or long forgotten.
third eye chakra - ajna
Located just above and between the two eyebrows, this chakra is the center of inner perception and intuition. Our ideas, dreams, ambitions, goals, inner strength and self-image all develop from this chakra.
With a balanced sixth chakra, one can start to experience success by making the right decisions and manifesting ones innermost desires.
crown chakra - sahasrara
Located at the top of ht head, the crown chakra is our connection to the universe. It disperser the universal energy or life force into the six other chakras located below it.
It is our connection with Divinity; it is the portal through which the life energy enters our body. A balanced crown chakra helps us connect with the Higher Power to receive its love, which can then be shared with those around us.
